STRANGE LOVE is a follow-up to A WALK IN THE SUN by the great director Lewis Milestone. Even the best of them have put out dogs but he bounced right back with MARTHA. In a WALK IN THE SUN, it is hilarious to watch actor Richard Conte find himself a fellow soldier, make him his bitch, have him walk behind him and carry his cigarettes for him. When Conte wanted a smoke all he say: “butt me!” I tried to watch this again about a month ago and couldn’t stand it, it is just that bad. MARTHA is a much better movie without all the stupid dialogue found in A “TALK” IN THE SUN.
